Room parents

The Room Parent plays a vital role in enhancing the classroom experience by fostering communication between teachers, parents, and the school community. This position involves organizing activities, supporting classroom needs, and creating a welcoming environment for students and families.

** Room Parents are required to attend the monthly PTA Meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the teacher and parents, sharing important information, updates, and volunteer opportunities.

  • Event Coordination: Organize and assist with classroom events, celebrations, and field trips, ensuring all necessary materials and volunteers are in place.

  • Support Teacher: Provide assistance to the teacher with classroom activities, projects, and other needs as requested.

  • Encourage Participation: Foster a sense of community by encouraging parent involvement and creating opportunities for families to engage with the classroom.

  • Maintain Records: Keep track of volunteers, contributions, and any special requests from the teacher or school administration.
